Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman and Heads of Parliaments of the North European and Baltic countries have discussed interparliamentary cooperation, European integration and the course of implementation of the Minsk agreements.

In particular, Groysman raised the question of prolongation of sanctions against the Russian Federation in view of the ongoing occupation of Donbas and the annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted the importance of liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the European Union.

Besides, the parties discussed the agenda of reforms to be conducted by the Ukrainian Parliament in 2016.

Groysman informed the meeting participants about the fact that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is undergoing an internal reform within the framework of the cooperation with the European Parliament. He called on the Heads of the North European and Baltic countries to join the embodiment of these changes.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the delegates for their interest in Ukraine, constant support, and readiness to deepen the interparliamentary cooperation.
